Julien Macdonald is a worldwide known brand for its haute couture dresses. As an Embroidery Assistant there, I hand beaded and finished final pieces as well as repaired garment embellishment on damaged pieces. I also assisted with creative artworks across embroidery and on moodboard research, proposed ideas and samples of swatch design and other studio tasks such as fabric sourcing or assistance on and fittings.
Rabbithole London is a Menswear brand which produces multiple collections throughout the year so as a Designer Assistant, I was responsible to trace pattern copies while preparing fittings and checking toiles. I was also entrusted with the creation of swatch book pages, specification drawings, sketches, development sheets in addition to assisting with technical drawings and regularly select fabrics and fashion artisan finishes during the whole production processes.
TRAMP IN DISGUISE & MY GALAVANT
Tramp in Disguise and My Galavant are both womenswear brands with iconic colourful prints. I served as key stakeholder during trend research and initial design of collection where I created swatch book pages, specification drawings, and development sheets. I also provided pattern cutting, toile sewing, print design and fitting preparation services.
Ashley Isham was about to have his show at London's Fashion Week when I entered as Designer Assistant. I prepared and attended fitting sessions and provided wide-ranging and provided detailed assistance with hand embroidery, beading, and other hands on artisan tasks before and during catwalk show.
HUNT STUDIOS and PICKY SOUL
Hunt Studios showroom and Picky Sould are both run by Lyla Chen, stylist, brand consultant and columnist for several iconic magazines. Working alongside her I gained significant experience as a Stylist Assistant where I researched images and photographers for trend boards for inspiration and collected samples while assisting with fittings, model castings, and last-minute details of shoots.
Ulises Merida used to be the well-known creative mind behind the brands Agata de la Prada and Jesus del Pozo, he launched his own brand on 2012, Ulises Merida.In this early role, I provided assistance for Merida’s lines prior to collection being shown on Madrid Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. I was also responsible for garment construction, fittings, and hand-sewing finishes backstage.
